Why are you here?

Your reason for being here shapes what we look for in your results — and what we do about them. Choose the line that sounds most like you.

None of these quite fit? See what is included — and bring your own question to the consultation.

Why This Matters

Your brain deserves more than 18 minutes.

The average primary care appointment runs 18 minutes. That is the national average — and it is not a criticism of primary care physicians, who are doing their best inside a system that was not designed for complexity. It is simply a fact: 18 minutes is not enough time to administer a validated cognitive battery, review nine domains of results, work through 45 research-identified risk factors, and build a meaningful, personalized plan.

The Brain Health Blueprint was built around a different premise entirely. An evaluation first — on your own time, at your own pace. Then an unhurried physician consultation. Then a written plan, and a second call to walk through it together. Three touchpoints, because one appointment was never going to be enough.

What's Included

An evaluation, a consultation, a written plan, and a call to go through it. One flat fee.

The Brain Health Blueprint is a three-touch service: a self-administered cognitive evaluation, a comprehensive physician consultation, and a written plan reviewed with you on a follow-up call. Here is what is included at $599:

The Assessment

What your results look like.

The CNS Vital Signs assessment generates an auto-scored report across nine cognitive domains, benchmarked against age-matched normative data. Color-coded and immediately readable — by you and by Dr. Lowe before your consultation.

How It Works

Simple. Entirely on your schedule.

1
Book and Pay Online Schedule your consultation online. You will receive a confirmation with your secure link to the CNS Vital Signs assessment platform and everything else you need to get started.
2
Complete the Assessment on Your Own Time Take the computerized cognitive assessment at home, at your convenience, before your scheduled consultation — on a desktop or laptop with a keyboard. No clinic visit required. No special equipment needed.
3
Meet With Dr. Lowe Your consultation takes place by phone or video — or in person if you prefer and are in the Nashville area. Dr. Lowe takes your history in detail, works through your personal risk profile, and reviews what the assessment found. Bring your medication list and any recent lab work if you have them.
4
Receive Your Written Blueprint Within two business days, your written plan arrives by email along with your full assessment report and your complimentary copy of the book. Read it at your own pace. Mark it up. Bring your questions to the next call.
5
Go Through It Together A scheduled 30-minute call to review your Blueprint — what it means, where to start, and how to fit it into your life. No additional billing. No rushed follow-ups.

Why this service does not accept insurance — and why that is better for you.

Insurance reimbursement models are built around 18-minute appointments. Research confirms it: that is the national average for a primary care visit. Eighteen minutes is not enough time to administer a validated cognitive battery, review nine domains of results, work through 45 risk factors, and build a personalized plan. It is not enough time to do this work properly.

By operating outside the insurance system, this service answers to you — not to a payer. The consultation is not cut short by a clock, and the plan is built around your results, not around a billing code.

Frequently Asked Questions

What you need to know.

Who is this service for?

Anyone who wants an objective, physician-reviewed picture of their cognitive health. You do not need a referral, a diagnosis, or a prior concern. Most people who book it are simply paying attention.

What does the CNS Vital Signs assessment measure?

CNS Vital Signs is a validated, peer-reviewed computerized neuropsychological battery used in clinical research and physician practices worldwide. It measures nine cognitive domains: composite memory, verbal memory, visual memory, processing speed, reaction time, complex attention, cognitive flexibility, executive function, and psychomotor speed. Results are auto-scored and compared against age-matched normative data — giving you an objective picture of where you stand, not just how you feel.

Is this a diagnostic service?

No. The Brain Health Blueprint is a health assessment and educational consultation — not a diagnostic evaluation and not a substitute for clinical care. It provides an objective picture of your cognitive performance and a structured review of modifiable risk factors. If results raise concerns that may warrant further neurological evaluation, Dr. Lowe will discuss next steps with you during the consultation.

How long does the consultation take?

Most consultations run about an hour, and the plan review call that follows runs about thirty minutes. Neither is cut short by a clock — this service operates outside an insurance-driven appointment model precisely so that it does not have to be.

When do I get my plan?

Within two business days of your consultation, and usually the next day. It arrives by email with your full assessment report and your copy of the book. You will have it in hand well before the review call, so you can read it without anyone talking at you and come to the call with questions.

What if I do not have my medications or lab work?

Bring what you have, even if it is out of date, and we will still have a full consultation. A current medication list with doses makes it substantially more useful — your pharmacy will print one while you wait. Recent bloodwork helps too, but nothing is cancelled or diminished without it.

Can family members join the consultation?

Absolutely — and they are encouraged to. Family members and caregivers often provide important context, and their presence means the plan can be supported at home from day one.

Can I repeat the assessment over time?

Yes, and longitudinal tracking is one of the most clinically valuable aspects of the CNS Vital Signs platform. Repeating the assessment annually or biannually lets you track changes over time, which is far more informative than any single snapshot. Re-testing is a separate service at its own fee; the $599 covers one assessment, one consultation, one written plan, and the call to review it.

Can I submit this to my insurance for reimbursement?

This service is not billed through insurance and does not generate insurance-compatible clinical documentation. Payment is collected at the time of booking.

The Brain Health Blueprint is a health assessment and educational consultation. It does not establish a traditional physician-patient clinical treatment relationship and is not a substitute for care from your primary physician or a treating neurologist. If you have active medical concerns, please consult a licensed physician in your state.
